By Ryan McCaffrey Frank West returns to Willamette Mall in Dead Rising 4, and we wanted to follow the photojournalist around for a while to chronicle the story. Please join us all November long on IGN First as we turns out one exclusive new feature after another on the latest iteration of the open-world, tongue-in-cheek, baseball-bat-in-hand zombie survival adventure. This page will be updated all month long as each new feature rolls out!

“It’s four player co-op. This takes devote the shopping mall. You play as four survivors who will be also showcased in the storyline as well. You get a a bit more backstory on them, as well. You go into the mall and take part in crazy quests, wanting to survive

“The structure is, the four of you begin the game together, you start in a safe house; you get a kit, get some weapons, get yourself all set to go; we unlock the doorways, it’s killing, mayhem, craziness lots of interesting quests that take advantage of our systems… You have to get to the safe house to survive the end of the day. ”

Dead Rising 4 sees the player return to a zombie-infested world in the hopes of completing the ultimate chapter of Frank West; the previous protagonist who’s now a professor at a community college.

During our hands-on time, we observed Frank has already established somewhat of a makeover during his time off. Gone is the hunching, slightly odd-looking man from yesteryear, and instead, Frank now looks almost like a cleaner version from the Walking Dead’s Negan.

Having said that, Capcom Vancouver studio mind Joe Nickolls reckons the person you play as is still Frank on the inside: “He’s still a super smart-ass, ” claims Nickolls. “The humor remains. He’s still Frank. inch

If there’s one thing players have come to expect from the Deceased Rising series, it’s over-the-top zombie-slaying antics and a love of the ridiculous. According to Capcom’s Later on Nickolls, that fun and frantic attitude is keeping in place for the series’ latest entry, Dead Rising 4.

Honestly, we weren’t really worried that the Dead Rising series was going for a turn for the dramatic or anything like that. The overall game was announced at the Xbox 360 system E3 presser recording with a trailer that revealed off all of the expected antics. Plus, you have got the return of Frank West, a series figure who has always appeared to relish the possibility to go street-rat-crazy on the immortal.
